The Verdict

Los Angeles Solar Pros earned our confidence with a rare combination: flawless workmanship records and a willingness to chase down problems they didn't cause. We found 48 reviews praising their installation quality, and not one complaint about shoddy work. One homeowner watched the electrician install panels and batteries with a construction veteran's skeptical eye and reported the team welcomed scrutiny and made adjustments without pushback. When a Tesla inverter failed a year after install, the crew diagnosed it onsite, ordered a replacement, and had the system back online in 10 days. That kind of follow-through shows up in 43 positive mentions of post-sale support with only 2 negatives. The company handles permitting and utility paperwork (which reviewers describe as "bureaucratic misery"), and 63 reviews cite smooth project management. One dissatisfied customer paid $44,000 for a system with discontinued panels and no permit, so confirm documentation before you sign.

If you want an installer who'll show up a year later to fix someone else's equipment failure, the track record here justifies the premium. Just get every spec and permit detail in writing upfront.

Reviews That Shaped Our Verdict

Tom Y.
YelpMay 31, 2023

Tom Y. chose LA Solar Pros for a full solar-plus-storage setup for his home and ended up with what he calls a white-glove experience. The team walked him through clear pricing, arranged financing, and took care of the permitting headaches — even helping with the SGIP rebate — so the paperwork felt effortless. Installers put up the panels and two Powerwalls quickly and painlessly; the system now lets him run the A/C all day and delivers a $0 energy bill. About a year later a Tesla inverter failed; Greg came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered the replacement, and had the system back online within ten days. He relies on LA Solar Pros for future needs, and notes that most of his community has also hired them and keeps being impressed — what stood out most was their responsiveness and their willingness to handle the messy paperwork and repairs so the homeowner didn’t have to.

James T.
YelpApr 3, 2024

James T. discovered that Title 24 required solar on his newly built, small ADU — a compact unit where the permit only called for about 2 kW. Because the system was so small, several companies refused the job; one even insisted the minimum was a 12 kW system with battery backup, a roughly $25,000 package. Solar Pros agreed to install exactly what the plans specified — five panels, no battery — and quoted a reasonable price. He found it easy to get a real person on the phone or by email, and he worked mostly with Shant and Angel, who stayed friendly and answered his questions throughout. As a first-time solar buyer he was cautious, but Solar Pros handled all the permitting with the County Building & Safety office and SoCal Edison, sparing him the bureaucratic slog. The whole process moved surprisingly fast, so the solar work didn’t delay finishing the ADU. What stuck with him most was their willingness to build the tiny, permit-specified system and push the paperwork through, keeping the project on schedule.

J K.
YelpAug 18, 2025

J K. paid $44,000 for a 27-panel solar installation on their home and quickly discovered the panels had been discontinued and could be found online for about $66 apiece. During the sales conversation they heard Los Angeles Solar Pros representative Arman call leasing a "scam," which only added to their confusion about why they had bought instead of leased. The company assured them that batteries weren’t necessary despite other installers warning that SCE’s NEM 3.0 changes would require storage; that reassurance proved wrong. To try to fix the shortfall, the installer offered to remove seven panels and inverters in exchange for two 15 kW batteries, but the equipment that arrived were 3–5 kW batteries that didn’t resolve the problem. Instead of savings, they ended up with a large debt, a lien on the property, and an installation that apparently never received the promised permit. What lingers most: an expensive, unpermitted system with discontinued panels and undersized batteries that failed to address the NEM 3.0 issue, leaving them with a bill and a cloud over the title.
