The Verdict

Pacific Green Homes has a split personality problem. On your own property, the team shows up on time, delivers clean work, and owner Asher Ederi appears daily to check progress. One homeowner raved about a kitchen-fireplace remodel that transformed their entertainment space, completed on schedule with polite crews. But if you're unlucky enough to live next door to a Pacific Green job site, expect a different experience entirely. Two neighbors reported workers blasting music so loud they could hear it through closed windows, then laughing when asked to turn it down. Even after the landlord contacted site management, nothing changed. We found evidence of billing disputes too. One customer was charged extra to reinstall lights and fans the crew removed, despite a written contract stating reinstallation was included. When challenged with the original design documents, the owner went silent and told his assistant he wanted no referrals from that client. The workmanship itself earns consistent praise across kitchen remodels, solar installs, and roof replacements. But the lack of accountability when problems arise is harder to ignore.

If you hire Pacific Green Homes, get every detail in writing and be prepared to enforce it yourself. The crew will likely show up and do quality work, but if something goes sideways, accountability seems to vanish.

Reviews That Shaped Our Verdict

Bahaar V.
YelpSep 7, 2017

Bahaar V., who lives in Vancouver, bought a Simi Valley house that needed a full kitchen and bathroom overhaul, fresh interior paint, and all-new windows. She shopped around for quotes until Carmel from Pacific Green Homes sent photos of past projects and contact emails for former clients, which prompted Bahaar to book an in-person meeting during her next L.A. trip. At that meeting she met Asher Ederi, whose straightforward, professional approach stood out: he answered every question, laid out multiple options and design ideas, presented the proposal clearly, and offered a very attractive price. Bahaar extended her stay in L.A. while Carmel handled the permits and plans; once the crew began work they stayed clean, arrived on time, and Asher showed up almost every day to supervise progress. The combination of Carmel taking care of the paperwork and Asher’s hands-on oversight is what made the project manageable for someone coordinating from out of town — Bahaar left pleased that the team kept the job tidy and on schedule.

H. N. lived for a year in a rental right next to a Pacific Green Homes construction site and ended up with a constant problem: crews blasting music so loudly it could be heard inside the house even with doors and windows closed. They approached the workers multiple times to ask for lower volume and were met with laughter and dismissal. Their landlord escalated the issue to the site manager, but nothing changed, which led them to conclude the tolerance for loud music comes from management. They walked past many other local construction sites and noticed none played music at that level; several even posted code-of-conduct signs prohibiting music, so this felt distinctly unprofessional by comparison. While they accepted that construction brings noise, the persistent, unnecessary music—often louder than the work itself—was what made the situation intolerable. The detail that sticks: complaints reached both workers and management and still produced no change, leaving the lasting impression that neighborly courtesy wasn’t being enforced on this job.

Wilson John U.
YelpFeb 17, 2018

Wilson hired the company to modernize his kitchen and fireplace and ended up with a truly modern entertainment space — the finished remodel looked amazing. The crew showed up almost every day to keep the schedule, and the owner himself dropped by the house nearly every day to check on the work, which kept the job moving. The good finish, however, got undercut by billing and communication issues. He discovered the team charged extra to reinstall lights and a fan they had removed, even though both the verbal discussion and the written agreement promised those items would be put back at no charge. The trash kit that appeared on the blueprint was billed as an add-on; after Wilson sent the design back he received no reply from the owner, then an assistant later said they wouldn’t charge for it — a reversal he believes was unnecessary in the first place. The site logistics also dragged: it took two weeks to bring in the portable potty, and pickup and cleanup took longer than expected. When Wilson asked that day for a $250 refund that he believed shouldn’t have been charged, the company refused and the owner told him he didn’t want referrals from them. In short: workmanship and the—

What You Can Expect

jim brunty
GoogleApr 16, 2018

Jim moved forward with a full roof replacement and a 22-panel solar array on his home, bundling a new water heater and HVAC system into the same project. He ended up with a complete, coordinated installation at what he called a great price, carried out by a smooth, professional team. The most memorable part of the job was Asher — highly knowledgeable and hands-on — who guided him through decisions and helped resolve issues as the work progressed. He walked away most impressed by Asher’s expertise and the convenience of having roof, solar, hot water, and HVAC handled together.

Diana J.
YelpSep 5, 2018

Diana J. hired Pacific Green Homes to remodel her entire house and add what she described as an addition of 460 swift. She started the process nervous—this was her first major remodel and she’d heard plenty of horror stories—but meeting Asher quickly eased those fears. She found his answers thorough and his knowledge obvious; he laid out how everything would be done in a professional way and then backed it up by visiting the job site almost every day. The crews matched that professionalism: polite, experienced, and willing to put in hard work. By the end of the project she felt relieved and satisfied, and what stayed with her most was Asher’s hands-on involvement and the dependable workmanship of the team.

Jim Lione
GoogleAug 26, 2018

Jim hired Pacific Green Homes this spring for a three-room remodel, and what stood out most was how Asher and his crew built the schedule and work plan around his cancer treatment. He appreciated that they were flexible with timing — even pausing progress so he could recover — and that sensitivity shaped the whole project. They also found a financing package that fit his budget and accommodated the expansion and creative changes he wanted, while keeping his pets and health needs in mind. The crews showed up on time, stayed tidy, and turned in highly professional work. Whenever questions came up, Asher provided clear answers and handled change orders as they could. The remodel finished exactly as he hoped, leaving him far more than satisfied, and he already plans to hire them again to complete the rest of the house.
