Pacific Solar Energy did a superb job in both the selling and installing of the system. This is the second system we have installed (new home) in 10 years, and it was by far much easier to deal with them, in particular the owner, David. He was very knowledgeable about solar in general, and explained in detail what needed to be done. Kept us informed all the time and was a pleasure to do business with.
Pacific Solar is terrific. The owner and the installers showed the highest level of professionalism & courtesy. These guys have the know how and opportunity to install large commercial projects, yet they treated my modest home system as if it was the most important project in the world.
For me this was primarily a financial decisison. In addition I feel good about helping make the US less dependent on foreign energy supplies. Being more self-sufficient is also an intangible benefit. If it were not for the rebates & tax credits, the payoff time would have been too long for me to do this project.

David Pascualy from Pacific Solar Energy is a great person to work with. He has properly answered all my questions. I have evaluated five other solar vendors prior to selecting David and his expertise in this field is good. In the evaluation phase, I had a concern about securing the solar panels to the roof and making it water tight. My roof has metal shingles with wood shake below. David called the vendor who installed my roofing and verified that the technique was sound. This process gave me a good feeling to see David is checking the solution by verifying the methods with other experts.
Throughout the installation, we had daily communication over the phone or at my home as to the status of what is going on. His work team was professional and polite. They would make sure we were notified if they wanted to come into the house. Unfortunate, they did not speak English so I could not communicate with them better. After the installation (late Friday), David made a special trip on Saturday to make sure the system was operating properly, we needed the sun.
In the next few days, daylight was shorter and the sun was striking lower only to my surprise that several of my neighbor tall trees were casting shadows. David proposed to rewire the individual panels differently, trying to reduce the effect. David completed this task in one day, but the result was a wash. However, the idea that David would follow up on a potential better configuration and performed it shows that he is really thinking about his work even after he has completed it. I don't think large vendors would be so nice as to try this. David wants to be perfect.
The rebate went smoothly only because David did all the work. Besides compiling all the forms, getting my signature, and submitting them, David would track the status and periodically call or email me to keep me informed. David is a personal person and he is very easy to talk to. I would definitely work with him again.
