What Stood Out
Sun Craftsmen Solar installed our solar panels about 3 years ago. John was very attentive and knowledgeable. The prices were very fair and his customer service was excellent. The install went off without a hitch, including some rewiring on the house and replacement of the electric panel. He is an awesome guy that really does care about his customers, his name and his business. Last summer we had the power go out, not knowing that this was a power outage, since some items in the house were working and some were not, I decided to call John to see if he knew anyone that could check this out. He himself came to the house within an hour to check on the electricity. Who does that?!?! He is amazing. If you are looking for solar panels from a company that values your business, want reasonable prices, excellent customer service and follow through even after they install the panels...this is the company for you!
John Gallo and team installed a solar energy system 15 months ago. First, they took care of _all_ the paperwork, including neighbor signatures! Second, they communicated via e-mail without bothering me with phone calls - can't beat that! Third, they showed on time every day and installed everything in a total of just 4 days. It all worked the first time and keeps on working for the past 15 months without the slightest interruption. Moreover, not even once I paid a red cent for electricity (not counting the mandatory $1.88 "account maintenance fee") to Southern California Edison - solar energy fed back into the network covers all our usage and more. We have a lot of sunny days her in our desert. :) I couldn't be happier with the quality of work and the final outcome.

We have installed our solar panel through Suncrafsmen over 4 years now. Our unit is running strong and have saved us so much money over the past 4 years. I remember I went through many solar companies before picked SunCraftsmen. I asked over 10 questions and John(the owner) answered each question in a timely manner with tremendous detail. Solar was a big investment for us and John respected our selection process and provided us professional opinions and taught us how solar works and what to expect in each step of the installation. I picked SunCraftsmen over other bigger companies because I felt I could trust John the most. The whole installation took less than a week and we were able to use our solar energy within two weeks from the beginning of the install.
I talked to Solar City and they tried to lease me a solar system for my home. But after I talked to John at Sun Craftsmen, I realized that if I bought a system, payback was as short as 5 years. John set me up with a contractor that did a great job of reroofing the house, and then his company did a very clean installation of the solar panels. Since the installation--almost two and a half years now--my electric bills run around $20 every two months from DWP. Even at the height of summer when we're running AC almost 12 hours a day, the electric bill is very low. And another thing, John found a lender for us to finance the solar at a reasonable rate, which was much better than the HERO Program. Overall, we're very pleased and would highly recommend his company.
